ABOUT

My fitness and nutrition journey started with Jane Fonda VHS tapes and the low fat craze of the early 90’s.

Since then I’ve completed a Masters degree in nutrition, a BS in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University and countless fitness certifications, workshops and internships.  I’m certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and by Precision Nutrition.

I’ve sifted through tons exercise modalities and diets. I’ve run marathons, half marathons and completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training. During one phase of my training I could squat and deadlift a fair amount with good form. I’ve spent periods of my life exercising every day (sometimes even twice) and periods of not exercising at all (ahhhh...life as a new mom). I’ve been as bogged down as the next gal trying to figure out the best way to eat for me.

Do you want to know the credential that has paid off the most? Experience. It’s taken some time to build the confidence to make solid nutrition and exercise decisions for myself. Understanding the science behind movement, recovery and nutrition certainly helps but it’s been the last 20 years of trying new things and revisiting old ones that has allowed me to find my unique health habits and to successfully support others to achieve their health goals.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past 2 decades is that while we are all different, everyone needs accountability. Our metabolisms are as unique as our fingerprints. We need to find the balance and habits that fit our unique profiles and preferences and often times we need a little help sticking to it all.

You can enjoy a life of freedom (from diets), confidence and increased energy and strength and I can help. It’s my mission to help you feel strong, confident and free so that you can live the best version of you. Maybe with my (2 decades of) education and experience I can help you get there in less time than it took me.

Just like our fingerprints are unique, so are our metabolisms and physical bodies. We need to find balance and health habits that fit our unique profiles and preferences.
