Frequently Asked Questions

What are sweat sessions?

Sweat sessions are 50-minute small group workouts that include a short warm-up, HIIT-style strength and conditioning circuits, and a cool down stretch. These are full body, balanced workouts that will leave you feeling sweaty, strong and energized!

Do I need exercise equipment to do these workouts?

Nope! If you have any equipment (dumbbells, bands, kettlebells), we can incorporate it. I will prompt the group to grab equipment if accessible, but it's always an option, not a requirement. A yoga or exercise mat makes floor exercises more comfortable, but a large towel works, too. What you DO need to bring to every session is water and a readiness to work!

What if I have an injury?

Depending on the injury, I will offer appropriate modifications and/or substitutions. I want you to get the absolute most out of your Sweat Set Go experience so it's important for me to know about any bone or joint concerns from the very beginning. If your injury has prevented you from exercising in the past (even distant past), get your doctor's OK before starting this exercise program. I love collaborating and am happy to chat with your doctor and/or physical therapist at any point.

What is Jess' coaching style?

I love good form and will hold you accountable to doing the exercises properly (this will keep you healthy and injury free, too!). I love to keep things moving so plan on sweating! I offer positive feedback throughout the workout, and will offer modifications and options for level changes when necessary. I also like to know how you're doing in between workouts. I want you to feel proud, sweaty and strong by the end of the workouts, and my coaching style reflects it.

What are the restorative movement sessions like?

Your training session will start with a dynamic warm-up (stretching while moving) to prep the body to work. The bulk of the session will be focused on strength training—using body weight (or equipment if you have it) to improve strength, body composition and metabolism. These sessions are individualized, one-on-one with Jess.
